wiring problems

Guys, I am trying to put a 1992 GM radio into my 1985 Z. I finally got the wiring harness for it, but realized that the antenna plug is too big for the hole.

I went to all of the places that I can think of and they couldn't help. I did find out that the hole is for a "GM Mini Plug" not a universal.

Does anybody know if anybody would carry some sort of an adapter?

Thanks,
Jesse

Every car audio shop I've been to has the style to go from the small antenna to the big radio hole, but going in reverse may require you to make your own.

Any car audio shop should carry both adaptors-from mini to standard and the reverse. Metra's part numbers are GM-10 and GM-20.Radio Shack even carry these.I ran out of one of the adapters at the shop while installing a cd changer and ran to the local radio shack and picked one up.

I went to my local Radio Shack and the guy (owner/manager type) didn't have a clue. I am going to a town with more than a main street on Friday and will look there.

I just wanted to make sure somebody made an adapter.

Thanks,
Jesse
