I was thinking of replacing all the factory speakers in my '82 trans am with modern ones, but i cant seem to find any speaker harnesses for that particular year. Do they not exist? or are my search skills just lacking . I'd prefer not to have to cut the original wires. Can anyone help?

If you buy them through Crutchfield, they'll send you the pigtails for your car to connect.

thanks, yeah, i was thinking about that, the odd thing is, when looking for the connectors on their own on crutchfield's site for that car, the only ones that show up are for the dash speakers. so that also leads me to think that maybe they dont exist for the other speakers? or are they all the same type?

Not sure on that, but I think. I know the connectors are different colors. Like Black, Gray, Blue, and something else...yellow maybe.
