I want to put a new stereo/cd in my 89 firebird, but with the red dash lights a white lit stereo would look weird. Any manufactures make a stereo/cd with red lights? Anyone know of a place that sells red replacement bulbs for stereos?-thanks all

 

i might be wrong, but i believe the Sony Xplod line of headunits have red lights... anybody wanna verify?? You could also just take a trip to circuit city/best buy and look at their working displays

 

Yup...Sony Xplods have red faces on em...at least the model I've got in my 89 RS does. It came with the car...I'll be removing it soon enough though ;-)

 

Sony's are also junk. You can get a Kenwood or Alpine with Amber/Green illumination.

 

Sony is the only manufacturer I could find with red lit head units.
This model plays both MP3's and CD's, and looks pretty sweet!

 

I believe that's the one I;ve got, but I'd have to get the actual model numbers to be sure. Same layout....Same remote.

Anyone need one? I'll be putting my Clarion in soon enough. hehe

 

sonys have red lights and some kenwoods you can change the color of the lights.

 

Sonys aren't the only ones. My Kenwood excelon thats about 3 years old has amber/green illumination. You can switch between the 2.

Mines a Kenwood. It switches from a orangeish red to green.

rockford fostgate radios are all lit up red as well, they have a cool look to them as well..

 

Thats the model i used to have. What a piece of ****. Takes minutes to load an mp3 disc, plus nothing but trouble.
I took it back for a pioneer 9300.

 

Pioneer DEH-11 (like the 1100, but with a red display instead).
Matches my Firebird perfectly.
