Just wanted to share the set up I did in my 1991 TA. The doors I did way back in 1995 and the back end was done in 2019. Kept some old and added some new. MB Quart 6.5 components (Made in Germany from 1995) front and rear, MB quart 4 inch center channel, JL Audio sub in a sealed box, JL audio 5 channel amp, Audio Control System 90 center channel processer and space enhancer (old school) and even have some Phoenix Gold wiring and patch cords in here.

I have a 91 Convertible and I would really like what you did with the door speakers. Do you happen to have details on how you did that and I really like the Trans Am insignia. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
is your sub a 10" or 12"? i'm trying to plan out a system for my TA and was debating (2) JL 12W3v3-2 but that's probably overkill. how much box volume do you have for that single sub - like 1 sq.ft.?
Its a JL 12W1v3-4. Yea the 1/2 of the sealed sub area in the box is a little over a foot. The rest is just amp and cable/wire storage.Back in the day (like 1995) I ran 2 12w6 JL subs powered by a Kenwood 1024 AMP and it hit very hard. Not into too much bass anymore so I focus toward the sound quality.
Nice! I like the layout you got and may try to do something similar in the Trans Am I'm building.
I also ran (2) JL 12w6s back in the late 90s. I had them in my daily driver (1996 Grand Prix) in a ported box powered by a Rockford Fosgate 800a2. Good times. I actually still have my old Rockford amps out in the garage somewhere. Kinda got out of car audio systems when I had my kids, but they're older now and have a little more expendable income.
In that case I'd probably be looking for an old school amp instead of anything new. Something like an Alpine MRV series, Soundstream Reference, Linear Power, A/D/S, etc. There's actually a nice looking MRV 5 channel Alpine on Ebay right now. Of course.......that's advice coming from an old school guy. Also I look at the speaker rated power and then I look at the fuses on the amp for an ACTUAL power output. I figure 12-15a for every 100w output of REAL power. NOT this new extremely over rated exaggerated CRAP!
