Antenna won't connect to delco need adapter?

Antenna won't connect to delco need adapter?

The guy i bought my GTA from said the antenna needed an adapter to go into the stock delco. Tried to connect the antenna to test it and it will not go in. Anyone know what
Adapter I need?

You need an adapter. Just did a quick search on amazon - 'GM antenna adapter' several showed up for around $6

An Adapter will work just fine for resolving that problem. However; If your car doesn't have a Steering Wheel Control for the radio,...... that head-unit is not gonna' work. I'm guessing your car is either an 87,... or it had the antenna swapped in the past. (I've never seen an 88 with that antenna from the factory before.)

Yep my gta has steering wheel controls.. I ordered the Metra 40-gm10 antenna adapter for 88 and up. Appreciate the help!

Tired both of these and neither one would connect the the delco.. anyone know the numbers for the right one?

Everything i see is is adapters for Factory Antenna to Aftermarket Radio not Aftermarket Antenna to Factory Radio.
