i have an ohio generator alternator that i bought for $575 if someone wants it for $300. it is rated at 160 amps.

I might be interested since its something that I've been wanting to do ever since my system went in. A guy near me rebuilds them for 140 amp output but for like $225. Thats a possibility but my alternator has a lifetime warranty so if it goes, I simply bring it back and get a new one for free but as far as brands, I have no idea who makes HO ones but I'm interested.

htere is a place in dallas that charges $150 for a 180 amp alternator for third gens i dont know how reliable he is http://www.reman.com/alterstart/
