ok i am about to put in 2 bazooka triangle subs 450 watt apeice in a custom ported box with 1.0 cubic ft. of space, 1 fosagate 160.4 watt amp, and a pioneer 35 by 4 watt head unit, and 2 sony 160 watt apeice 6x9's, how many decibles you guys think ill be able to hit?and to get a louder sound you think i should invest in another fosgate amp of the same watt?

the square idea, good. the triangle, not so good. there is no benefit to a triagle sub, besides mounting. they actually have less cone area then their round counterparts, as opposed to the squares that have more. sorry to burst your bubble or sound mean, but the triangles are just a gimmick

the ONLY time a triangle becomes an advantage is when you're trying to cram a ton of subs into a specific area. The triangle shap, just like the square shape, lets you get the maximum cone area into a given space. But if you're just running a pair.... well... um... yeah.
Anyway, a 160 won't do squat for a pair of subs. That's a nice tweeter amp. A 360a2 or larger would be my minimum reccomendation in the Rockford line.

well they maybe just a gimmic but they sound bad ***, bazooka acctually makes really good stuff, so take a walk to the nearest ciruit city and listen to one of them, and with the right amp it will change you mind. i hooked it up to a kenwood 600 wat amp and it shook the hell outta that little room where they had all there subs on show. and those 160 watt fosgate amps are nice i had a friend who had one on a 12" he2, and it was loud, that little amp made that sub hit hard.

You ask a question, the when somone gives you and answer your fight back.
Sounds like you already got you mind made up.
Come and bring your subs to my 2 RF HX2's on my RF 800.4 amp.
We will see what is loud, and what hits hard...

hey man i never even got the answer to the question i asked the only thing i was told is that those subs suck, and that they are some stupid gimic for bazooka to make money and i mean i already have one and i am going to put 2 of them in my car, but i mean **** dood if i had like 500 bux to put a system in my car well i sure as hell wouldnt spend my time on the triangle bazooka's, circuit city sell them for 200 bux a peice i bought the one i have already for 86.99$ but i mean dood if i was going to enter compotions and **** well i would buy a mtx RFL, and 3 kicker 1000 watt amps, but i want good sounding bass. and in my car now i got one RF HE2 powered buy a 200 pioneer amp, and the reason i want a new system is that that sub i got now is older and i want somthing new that sounds good, i cant name anyone in the town i live in that has some of those triangle subs.

We never said those subs suck. We just made it perfectly clear that the triangle shape is a hinderance unless you're trying to maximize cone area in a multiple sub SPL system. In addition to not having as much cone area as a regular round or especially square sub, it also introduces a whole pile of uneven stresses on the cone and surround, which introduces all sorts of coloration unless the cone weighs 50lbs, which destroys efficiency, which means you need a TON of power to push them. With the incredibly small power levels you're planning on feeding to the subs, you should be looking for subs with the highest sensitivity rating you can find. Cerwin Vega, JL Audio, and a pile of others have much higher sensitivity ratings on their subs, which will be a tremendous advantage for low powered systems.
Everybody gets a hard-on for the massive subs with huge surrounds and 200lb magnets, but what they don't realize is that those subs are designed to be pushed with massive amounts of power, and if you don't give them that much power... they're crap.

maybe i was being too harsh. however, you dont need a huge wad of cash for a nice sub. heck, ispent $130 on my 12" dvc type-r. i also know better now and no longer shop at the big chain stores because you can get much better prices. for example, circuit city sells the deck i want (actually want the new model, but besides the point) the JVC SH99 for $400. I can buy the same deck online for no more than $300. but go with what you want.
oh, and by the way, that MTX sub isnt worth the loot for SPL. believe the top competitors are using either DD's or the L7's.
I'll stick with my nice SQ setup

I'll stick with my nice SQ setup yea the sensitivity on that triangle sub is 85 i beleive, but most of bazooka's tubes they sell have a sensitivity of around 105, but i donno i cant wait to have it all in my car, i think i am going to buy this clarion dx1515 head unit, and some of these lexon 300 watt tweets, and some cerwin vega 6x9's, so i figure with everything done right i should have a decent sounding system. oh and another thing ive been wanting to ask, bazooka sell this thing called the chil plub and its a liquid cooled plug for that sub and its supposed to bump the RMS up to 300 and 450 max, and its supposed to make the sub lat longer. i havent found one on ebay so i donno how much they are, ut you guys think that this shold be a smart investment? oh and the manual that came with the sub said that the triangle shape also reduces standing waves unlike the round sub? what does that mean?

Reduces standing waves? I don't think so. low frequency soundwaves are substantially larger than the size of the cone, so from a standpoint of soundwave production, the shape of the speaker is completely unimportant.
