primaries dripping fuel after engine shut off
i just put in a 350 with a 750 vac sec holley. the engine still needs to be timed with a light so that could be the start of the problem when the vehicle runs it seems to backfire continously almost when i drive it, when its parked and just revving up it seems to do just ok.
but when i shut the engine off the primaries drip gas and gas starts comming out of side of the carb where the throttle linkage connects to the butterflies
i bought a Holley TricKit for it but havent opened it yet because im not sure if a rebuild will fix all that.
i also have two fuel pumps for the time being, an in tank one and a mechanical on the side of the engine. i believe the in tank pump to be faulty, but just in case i removed the fuel pump fuse from under the dash. this is just temporary until i can get the pump out of the tank.
oh and i just noticed the primaries dripping today and have had the car running but not driving for like 5 days. i drove it to the muffler shop about a mile away and it drove like crap, when i picked it up i couldnt keep it running and thats when i noticed the primaries leaking.
any info on weather or not this carb can be fixed with a rebuild kit would be appritiated.

Check your float level. it should be so that it just barely runs out of the sighthole when you rock the car.
If it continually overflows even when you lower the level, then replace the needle and seat with one from that Trick Kit.
