which intake for swap

I have a '92 305 TBI. i am going to a carb and want to know which intake i should use the engine is stock right now and will probably stay like that inside until i put in a new motor(350). right now the car hardly ever sees 5000 rpms. and if it makes a difference at the same time that i am doing the carb swap some 3.73s will being going in

An Edelbrock Performer or Weiand Stealth. Holley makes a nice aluminum intake, as well. If you are sticking to 5000 rpm these will do. Just make sure you get a dual plane intake

Altho Dart came out with an interesting looking air-gap style dual plane..I'd like to see someone try it out and get back to me

Jester, Jester, Jester ...

When are you going to get over your hatred of Edelbrock? One screwy intake does not a company typify.

I've said it before..and I'll say it again.

I've had experience with many Edelcrap products. Prolly about half had some glaring design/construction flaw big enough to make me never buy it or recommend it again. I couldn't tell you if the other half were fine, or if I just didn't look close enough to find the flaw..and it doesn't matter. A company with such **** poor products on it's line will not get ANY buisiness from me, even if the other half of them are completely fine.

So..again...stay away from Edelcrap

BTW..the Dart one is pricey, but no more so than the edelbrock euivilent.

nevermind, my dad wont let me because of inspection laws(we dont even have emmssions testing just inspection), even though i know of 3 or 4 places that will give me a sticker for an extra 10 bucks. i can do it when i am 21 though so my car will continue to run like crap and get 9 mpgs with EFI

I agree 100% with jester. i bought a Performer and within a year it was pitted all over. i live in MI so no salt water here. Also, i keep getting leaks which leads me to believe the thing is warped. their quality control is non-existant.

Like Jester said poor quality and design flaws. Besides why would you want to spend lets say $120 on a performer rated a idle- 5500 when you can spend the same on a action+ rated at idle-6000?
Numbers numbers.
