That way if there's a problem I don't have to trace it through the GM harness and fight with fuseable links and daisy-chained circuits.
what about the dash stuff.. did you run all new wires for the gauges?

*NOTE* Still not done here, have to remove a few left over AC hoses since I removed AC from the car. Also non of my new valve covers, intake manifold or carb are attached yet.

Mine are all autometer, but even if you're using the stock setup all you have to do is run a single wire to the senders. Same amount of wiring either way.

So exactly how do you install connecting rods backwards? There is no front and back to them
Not true. There is a tab on each rod cap cast in to give you something to whack on to remove the cap without damaging the critical mating surfaces. With the rods installed correctly, these tabs face away from each other (face the thrust surfaces of the crank). Any stock rods I have seen have a larger thrust face on the crank side than the partner rod side as well.

Yes, I know its ghetto. But im lazy. Someday I'll get around to cleaning up this car's engine compartment, re-reouting wires, etc. But for now, I just drive it.

All that and a 14.93 @91.5

They're accel 8.8mm wires with the pro-sleeve. The sleeves go from about 4" from the cap down to the plug boots. But they still burn through Im on my second set. They'd be routed better if i had some kind of retainers for them.

New motor picture

This is a picture after i just installed my Weiand X-CELerator Manifold. Will soon have a 700cfm Holley double pumper, and yes, a 1 inch tall K&N filter.

Which model is that? I've been looking into buying a Weiand 177 to stuff under my hood. Almost bought it last month but spent too much redoing my fuel system, oops.
