wowzers that thing is pricey! 200! do you have any more upclose pics? maybe in your build thread? i'll look there. i'm going to see if i can build one for my little bro's and my buddy's cars.

where did you run the crossover vent to? i've run mine to the radiator side of the thermostat housing in the passed with good results, but am about to go to an electric water pump and need to put it somewere else. i need to go look at your build thread again, lol.

I think there is some more pics of it in my build thread but if you need some more close up pics I can email them to you(pm me with your email). My original plan was to run the crossover vent to the top of the water pump. But the fitting interfered with the alternator bracket adjustment so I had a fitting welded in my radiator.
The Speed Inc. bracket is a quality piece but there may be a better alternative now. The pulley on the alternator did not line up correcty on mine and I had to grind quite a bit off the back of the alternator to clear the head. I had to shim the bracket out about .085in and use a 5 rib belt, the front groove on alternator pulley stuck out too far to use. And if you shorten the spacer you have more of an interference issue with the alternator and the back of the head. Now that I've got it figured out its no big deal but it was a pain, it would be nice if a high dollar part would just bolt on and work.

I seen you asking about fuel pumps. Just a note of advice. Without a vapor
return line you will most likely get vapor lock during the summer heat. I learned
this the hard way when trying to use a Holley performance pump which did not
have a provision for vapor return. It seems none of the standard performance
pumps have vapor return option. I finally found one that did and haven't had a
vapor issue or fuel starvation issue.
http://www.robbmcperformance.com/products/chevy550.html

P.S. ooh and by the way, i ran a braided fuel line and the vapor return line
through the frame and exits right near the fuel pump.

Re: Post Your Carb'd Motor Pics

I believe mine has a provision for a return because right now there is a six inch piece of hose with a bolt in it. And a couple of days ago someone posted what all three line in engine bay were for. So now I just need to find that thread and hook up a line.

Re: Post Your Carb'd Motor Pics

I just saw you had a block off. I have been looking at pics here for myself. Right now the way it works is that all my fuel lines are on the drivers side and pump is on passengers side of engine bay. So as of now I have a nasty looking rubber hose going over my water pump down to fuel pump. Looks like poop. Some guys retoute their lines from pump over to passenger side then up, but for myself with cost and time that is not an option. Another option which I haven't looked at would be a eletric pump then I just have to go from line in engine bay to carb

Re: Post Your Carb'd Motor Pics

nowhere, except a site w/ Robert Psiala's boats from OZ, search for duggan headed. There's 1 more guy w. these heads and the spider manifold on ozrodders forum. There are very few of these around. As far as I know, I'm about the only one w. the header adapters. Haven't seen anyone else with them.
