I've posted on this thread before, but since then I have given this engine bay a full overhaul. I hid all wires that I could.

Thanks!

I moved the engine harness behind the driver side fender.

The harness to the engine now comes into the engine bay behind the engine in the tunnel.

Sweet. I make look into it. I will have my dash and interior ripped out, to delete a lot of wires. Might be time to try. Looks REALLY, REALLY good.

Nice work, very clean. Where did you get the overflow tank, or is it custom-made?

they are different from year to year and depending on the engine and AC configuration. My 86 is on the passengerside, my 92 is on the driverside.

Re: Post Your Carb'd Motor Pics

Here's mine that my dad and I bought about 5 months ago. We've put a lot of hours into the car replacing the things that need to be replaced on a 26 year old car. Things like fuel, vacuum, break and radiator lines/hoses and a lot of other parts. This car was my first engine to completely pull and install so I can proudly post some engine pics. We've tried to maintain the originality of the car as you can see in the pics. Well, we did remove the smog equipment but other than that, it's 100% original. I do have to say that these are pretty neat cars.

Re: Post Your Carb'd Motor Pics

OSU-MET, you had better keep a close watch on the upper rad hose because when the engine gets hot or you reach high RPM the upper hose will come in contact with the A/C v-belt.

Re: Post Your Carb'd Motor Pics

Auggie, I appreciate the heads up! It's a coincidence that you bring this up because I recently had to replace the upper hose for this very reason. I was wiping things down under the hood and noticed that the upper hose was rubbing on the v-belt once it warmed up and began to sag. Thankfully, I caught it in time before it cut completely through the hose. I went ahead and bought the better quality upper radiator hose that is much more resistant to sagging and has a better shape so that it stays away from the belt.

Re: Post Your Carb'd Motor Pics

LOL yes a new windshield is needed, but that was the main reason I was able to get this car. It was a lovers quarrel and she took it out on the car. When he found out what she did, she went to the hospital, he went to jail.
