ok will this help get some answers; it is a 350 with 1000-5500 rpm cam and edelbrock performer 750 cfm carb.
I think the eps is worse than the performer air. But I guess for my lower rpm target range the performer air gap should be good, rpm air gap prolly has higher power range.
Am i on the right track or am i wrong
thx in advanced

I'ed go with the RPM airgap. The performer is best left for a 305.
Plus the RPM airgap will get even better down the road as you add mods.

ok but even though the rpm airgap is rated at 1500-6500 rpm, will it give me atleast some strong low rpm power enough to smoke the tires from dead stop?

You'll need more than just an intake manifold for that.

You've got to keep the parts matched. A cam with 1000-5500 RPM powerband and an intake with a 1500-6500 RPM powerband is a mismatch. You'll end up with the worst of both.

Build your engine around the cam. A Performer (although I prefer the Action+ or GMPP) is fine for this application.

Oh, raising the powerband RPMs will reduce the ability to "smoke the tires from dead stop", especially if the "package" doesn't include matching torque converter & gears. Why you'd want to do that (or, to put it a better way, why you don't want to do that) is a topic for another thread.

PERF RPM AIR-GAP

in a magasine i saw a 550HP engine (383) with performer rpm air gap, then they but a small carb blower, it made 750HP. was a carbed engine, and blower is the one you but your carb in a small air sealed box, neat.

also the performer rpm air gap look great... i realy like the gap.

ok thats it , for my bored out 350 im going with the performer air gap(idle-5500rpm) and the Comp Cams Xtreme Energy cam (idle-5200rpm) and the edelbrock performer series 750cfm w/ electric choke. That should solve all the fuss
