Look at this post from last week. https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=199078

Let us know if you have any other questions. Only difference is your pump will put out up to 50 psi, whereas TBI is on the order of 9-10 psi. The issues and resolution are identical, however.

I unplugged the connector from the fuel pump relay on the firewall, bolted a used mechanical fuel pump to the block, redid the pipes and that was it. I haven't used a return line. Just blocked it off.
The mechanical pump pulls through the electric one. Dead cheap and quick. Works well.

Andy.

You need a mallory #4309 regulator. I have one and a whole carb setup 4 sale in the classifieds.

Summit and Jegs also carry them.

I have posted this in other threads too but i will do it here too. I hav a TBI pump and the 4309 regulator and my fuel pressure wont stay set. I have taken the regulator apart to check it and its fine. I can set it at 5psi, sometimes it will go down to 0-2, other times it will go up so high it blows the needle and seat apart, I can hear the float bouncing up and down.

I haven't had a problem with a 4309. Are you sure you have it hooked up right?
