I seem to remember Summit or somebody made a steel braided line to go from a mechanical fuel pump to a q-jet, but I can't find it right now.
You could fabricate one yourself. I like this stuff for the raw stock http://store.summitracing.com/partde...N=120%20302419 , bends easily to route it where you want it to go, use your existing nuts and flare the tubing, you've got a new line.

I've searched Fine Lines, Classic Tube, and InLine Tube without success.

I ordered one from Inline Tube. I did not see it listed,so I called them (800-385-9452). Tell them what you have and they will take care of you. Fits perfect on my 305 with a Performer manifold and Carter stock replacement fuel pump.

Ji396,
I finally got around to phoning In Line today. I gave the salesman the appropriate info, but he had no clue. I told him about your situation, and he said if I had your name and/or a part number yada, yada, yada. Part number at hand?

After some difficulties, I did (thanks to ji36) receive the above OEM style fuel line from Inline Tube. The part was described as follows:
86 Camaro, IROC Z, 305 Qjet, Pump to Carb, OEM
At this time, the part number is simply designated as "General." Cost including shipping was $30.31.
At any rate, the part did fit my 85 IROC, and with some gentle massaging fit into place.
Again thanks, Jim.
