HP Estimate
Here is what I have to start with, a 350 block(outta a 90 vette, if that matters)
This is the "dream" setup
http://www.sdpc2000.com/cart.asp?ac...=2172&pid=89540 That package which includes the edelbrock performer RPM air gap intake, upgraded Vortec heads, and all the hardware and gaskets to go along with it..
A 750 edelbrock or Holley carb
http://www.sdpc2000.com/cart.asp?ac...2686&pid=123556 and then somebody referred me to this cam, i don't know much about cams, so its hard for me to make a decision...
How much HP do you guys think I can make outta this setup??

Something not quite right with those links. Just go to a general menu page (for me, at least).

did those work....its upgraded vortec heads, i think it has upgraded retainers and other stuff or something, i'm not really sure, then the cam is just a roller cam with more lift and whatnot ....somebody in the camaroz28 forum said it would produce close to 400 with a 750 carb....i just wanted some more input..

Heads are okay, but I don't see anything to indicate they replace the press-in studs with screw-in.
From everything I've seen/heard, Edelbrock cams are pretty lame. You'd be better off with a Crane Powermax or Comp XE, or even LT4 Hot Cam. 400 GFW HP is a reasonable expectation.

Why an Air Gap intake?
Not that it's a bad one or anything; but, what if you could make more power with some other one, or the same power but better gas mileage, or fit under the hood where that one wouldn't, or whatever?
You don't build a motor around the cheapest, easiest part to swap; you pick that one last, after all other design goals are met.
400 HP is pretty easy. A 350 with Dart Iron Eagle 200s, or Vortecs, or any number of other heads, along with a cam in the 230° @.050" neighborhood, should put you there easily; given a good exhaust system, correct intake, etc.

well i said the air gap because from what i understand, its one of the best intakes out...so i just figured thats the one i would buy.....i'm good at wrenchin, and putting this stuff on my motor is no problem, but i need links and part numbers to which setup will give me around 400 HP...i'm new to all of these products, and i know there are older people than 18 on this forum that have been around for a while...so please give me an exact setup that will give me 400 HP...in the other threads i've been postin people just say oh this intake is good, this set of heads is good, but they never match them together...i'm just worried about getting something, and then not being satisfied...help me out
