will it feed 400 horsepower?

Im puttin a carbed 383 stroker in my 88 camaro. My question is will the stock (In-tank) fuel pump supply the needs of a 400 horsepower motor? I will be running the Mallory three port return style pressure regulator. I will be running a Holley 750 double pump carb. THANKS

What was your original motor that it fed?

An '88 Sports Coupe would be TBI LO3.

It will probably feed it if it is in good operating condition.

My stock TBI pump is feeding about 320-340HP just fine. Since carbs run at about 1/2 the fuel pressure of a TBI engine it takes a lot of load off the fuel pump and it can move quite a bit more volume than it could in it's original EFI application.

Holleys need to be runa about 7psi constant - if your pump can't keep up, the pressure will drop. You can add an in-line booster pump to help if needed.

The car didnt have a motor in it when i bought it but I checked the VIN# and it says that it had a 5.0 305ci motor. So it should work then right???

No guarantees on the condition of the pump. That's a real crapshoot.
