holley SA w/hei vacc advance carb
I'm currently swapping out the stock intake/ carb for a edelbrock rpm air gap, and a holley street avenger carb, i have a hei vacuum adavnce distrib for it, and am not quite sure how to hook it up, am i able to use the distrib cap from my old distrib for the hei ? and where do i hook up the vacuum line from the distrib ?

Axle/Gears: 12B-3.73/9"-3.89
All of your information says "TPI". What "stock carb" are you changing out?
Large cap (i.e., coil in cap) HEI distributors all use the same type cap.
Connect the vacuum advance to the port on the passenger side of the carb, at least as a starting point.

I see your in oxnard i go to itt tech there i live in moorpark.
The vac line will go to the manafold vacuum on the carb not ported.

Remeber the thread about vacc advance and what port to use it seemd like it was better to use manafold vacuum insted of ported. Unless i missed somethin?

Most HEI vacuum advance units are intended for ported vacuum. If you get one that's adjustable, go ahead and play around with manifold vacuum.
But, as that other thread did imply, use what's best for your combination. Notice I did say above "...at least as a starting point". And, in the noted thread, that manifold works very well on my 396.
