Gas filter
So I replaced my gas filter in my carb a few nights ago...
I cut open the old filter (I was bored) and lo' and behol' there were metal flakes in it... Since it was shiney, I'm guessin' aluminum...
(And that's what my dad said. Haha!)
Any idea's whats up...

I wouldn't change the fuel pump unless the car wasn't running. Not a lot of point fixing something that isn't broken.
You changed the filter, so I wouldn't worry about anything yet...

If the pump had failed, there may be aluminum bits from the old one stuck in the filter, or possibly manufacturing remnants from a replacement left there.
If the pump is original, forget that theory.
