Pro-flo Air Cleaner
Has anyone ever used this air cleaner? According to the Edelbrock website it is only 3" tall. I'm thinking about using it in conjunction with Eddy's Performer EPS manifold, so I hope there'll be enough hood clearance:

P.S.: Looks like a lawn mower air cleaner on steroids!

Yes, lots of people have used it...
Up until the time it either caught fire, or got sucked into their carb, or they discovered that their car was a second faster without it.
It's junk. It might be the only air filter that's worse than having no air filter. It's not a go-fast piece at all. In fact, it's not really even for engines that run. It's for street-rodders that want to win the "square inches of chrome" contests that those guys have.

Ah, the famous "Triangle of Death". As the previous poster already said, if you're thinking of using that filter, don't.

Oh yeah, I remeber hearing about that happening but I forgot. I asked a co-worker about it that used to drag race and he said it happened a couple times, then they put panty hose around it to keep it in place. He said he finally gave up on it.
What do you think of the anodized aluminum Moroso air cleaners? I like the colors but I was wondering if they'll clear an electric choke and still give you good clearance under a stock hood?

You want the OEM BBC drop base setup. It clears fine on a bigger intakes. If you do a search here in the carb fourm you will find pics and links but you have to dig a couple years back.

DON"T DO IT!!! You'll be digging little chunks of crap out of and off of your carb the rest of it's life. That thing blocks more air than it actually flows. If you think a restrictor plate cuts power, try this thing and you'll really watch the numbers fall-
