stumbling...
hey everyone, I thought i fixed the stumble problem with a new filter, but it's back again. I've got a 350 (mods in sig) with a rebuilt CC qjet and CC distributor. The car stumbles like it's running out of fuel, usually in the higher rpms. but, the other day after i had driven the car around town and gave it about half throttle, it stumbled even earlier than it usually does. I've got a new carter fuel pump, but the stock DR/N rods/hanger are in it. any idea on what the problem could be?

Using stock replacement filter with the small check valve? I always pull the ball/spring out of them.

yeah, it's the stock replacement filter. I noticed a spring in the filter housing, but not a check valve, is that in the filter itself? By the way, it's at 8* advance.

The spring and plastic ball is the check valve. You can pull the rubber gasket piece out and dispose of the spring and ball.

Sorry I probably wasn't clear. There's a spring and check ball inside the rubber gasket in the filter. You can pull out the check ball then reinstall the gasket in the filter without it.
Hope your problem is as simple as this.

well, i've got a problem. I've noticed when the car is still cold after just driving for a couple minutes, the car rev's fine up to 5k+ and doesn't nose dive. But, after i've warmed it up by driving for a while, it nose dives when i hit around 4k. Any ideas?

well, seems like i got it fixed. i adjusted the AV to open easier, and now it revs up to 5500 with only a slight hesitation. I think i might file down that tab to let the AV open more. thanks for the help everyone.
