Intake/carb combo needed!!

ok motor will hopefully be back together soon and i need a non cc carb and better intake cam makes power from idle to 5500rpm im running true dual hedman lt into 2 1/2 H then Flowmaster 10series dumped. im ditching computer i can get a vacume dizzy just need sugestions on what intake/carb to get. rem its a 305 so bare with me. im also not planing on spending a lot in thissetup just need something to work well and be on the cheap side thanks!

I don't see anything that says you need anything different from the stock setup. You could go with a Performer or Action + intake, but they aren't going to make that much difference, and will cost more than just keeping the stock pieces.

I agree with the last post.
use an eldrbrock 1406. get some 1.6 rockers a little bit of cheap hp 10 or 15 peak no much but for $60 thats cheap hp. The rockers will cost less than a manifold and be more benifical to your motors breatability.
your set up is basicaly stock so keep it that way on the manifold. I got a stock roller 305 in an elky witha lt1 cam and a 1406 elderbrock carb, 1.6 rockers and it reves to 6000 rpms. not smart but fun

so just find a carb and i should be good then and mabsy some 1.6rockers alright. what size carb should irun?

I've got a Performance Products manifold and a Holley 600 vac sec, electric choke. Whole setup has about 500 miles on it. Moving up to a non streetable setup. Looking for 1/2 what I paid new for it. dmason@mckennapro.com

Screamin, I'll repeat my original response: The stock CC carb will do you fine. Why do you want to put on something that will cost you money and provide zero performance improvement?

A Performer carb replacing a stock carb would be a serious mis-spending of performance $'s.

i ran my cc carb/intake for awhile and i had nothing but problems plus not having a non computer compatable cam didnt help. im getting rid of the computer adn unneed wireing all together thats why!!!

(Still wouldn't go with the Performer, though...)

well i might just get ahold of a non cc q-jet from a friend and rebuild it and run it since i have more experiance with them and i can get a few for free that need rebuilt luckly ive got some friends that can work on them and i rebuilt two for my t/a before
