It's been mentioned a couple of times here. Interesting concept, sticker shock sure to follow.

I'm sure it will take awhile for it to take over Holley's place in the hobby.

It looks mean, dose it have a CFM rate?

Not yet released. Still in development for production.

Around a thousand CFM, if memory serves, for the SB version. Said idle and low RPM throttle response are excellent in spite of the large flow capacity even when used with pretty radical cams. In fact, they're developing their own cams to take advantage of the configuration.

You also understand, I assume, that it includes a unique intake manifold as well. Old school won't work with it.

Wonder if there will be any metal shavings still in it when shipped

It would appear B. Grant has abandoned his Pro Stock tour attempts, after not qualifying since 2004 (at least - I didn't check back history). So, perhaps he'll have more time to mind the shop.

1800$ may seem high but if u think about it with those big venturies it might as well be a dual quad. Go price out 2 4-barrels and a polished single plane intake manifold that can produce that kind of CFM and I bet ud be spending about that much

The claim is this configuration gives better distribution to the cylinders than the snaking configuration of square carbs, whether single or dual, and better vacuum signals to the carb. And, that it operates EFI-like for driveability, and therefore is competitive with aftermarket EFI conversion set-ups.

so if they went all out fancy, why's it still have down leg boosters? i thought annular boosters were king.

I'm getting closer with mine, I think. Going to spend tomorrow afternoon trying things out. The 10th is the first chance of the year to get to the track and then the following week on the 17th. Now I'm throwing an alt belt again grrr, broke one and the other went flying tonight.

Re: Demon "Badman" Induction System

Thanks for the interest in our new Inline carburetors.

Let’s first start off with a standard 4bl carburetor: The 4bl carburetor was designed out of packaging convenience not performance in mind. The first engines had a single (1 barrel) carburetor. As they required more air engine builders added more one barrel carburetors, then for packaging purposes the idea came about to mount all four barrels together. This makes your fuel lines, linkage, etc all much easier, however it leaves you with a problem within the intake manifold. You wind up with 4 longer runners, and 4 shorter runners. This is not real good for distribution. The idea behind putting all 4 barrels inline is first and foremost that we’re able to equalize the length of the runners. This allows use to use the longest runner possible within the shortest height.

Since we’ll be using our RS (Replaceable Sleeve) system we’ll be able to offer different sizes to fit most applications from about 500 CFM up to about 1400 CFM. We will also be offering different style boosters to for different applications.

Re: Demon "Badman" Induction System

cool. here's the thread, haha. i guess i was searching under the wrong kewords. interesting stuff. i think this might be marketed towards guys debating whether or not to crossover to EFI. Pricing is about the same for this induction as it is with most aftermarket EFI conversion kits. And the angle they'll probably use is that this induction distributes fuel as efficiently as EFI minus all the computer tuning . I like that concept....call me old school I guess.

Can't wait to see how this induction does when it goes into production full blast!

We should have them available late summer for the SBC applications. We'll be working on other combinations after that. We're in the final stages of drivability testing right now. Actually getting ready to do some extended road tests.

The vortec head intake style is what I'm looking for as well.

This looks like a good and easy fix for the runner length differences on BBC's.I assume BBC's are next in line.

We've already go the prototype BBC intakes done and will begin dyno testing with them as soon as we finalize the SBC calibration.
