Re: edelbrock 1406 help...

Do a search on Summits website or check out Edelbrock.com under general installation items. They have a fairly long list of part numbers.

Did you check the Edelbrock site under "installation items"? Some of the part numbers are 8030, 8032, and 8036 right off the top of my head. I think 1 or 2 of those are supposed to be universal, which is what I got. Not sure how it's going to work, though, since I haven't installed it yet (in the middle of an engine swap).

Also, at Summit, just type in edl- and the part number you want and something should come up. Jegs is also a good site for these parts.

Re: edelbrock 1406 help...

Summit numbers......

For the cable bracket - go with EDL-8030 - it's a nice chrome bracket, totally adjustable, and it's nice and sturdy - very very little flex - well worth the extra cash over the Spectre crapola.

Assuming you have a 700R4, you'll also need an EDL-8018 to connect the TV cable to the carb.

One last requirement if 700R4 - You'll need a TCI-376710 to correct the geometry for the TV cable. You'll connect the EDL-8018 to this.

You'll also need a banjo fitting EDL-8089 more than likely - the drop-based air cleaner housing that you must use to fit all under the hood will not go completely in place unless you swap to a banjo fitting for the carb (instead of the stock carb fuel fitting on the 1406).

That's what I used on my 1992 carb swap car, and over a year later all is well!

Re: edelbrock 1406 help...

I went with EDL-8031 and the 8018 throttle lever stud. I hope the bracket holds up ok.

Re: edelbrock 1406 help...

Hey,

I'm running a 1406 with a 700r4 as well.

I purchased a Bracket from "PACT" Cost is $35.00 Picture is below it worked well for me.

They also sell a longer TV Cable if needed and several brackets.
