Lets talk braided fuel line & AN fittings.

As of now, I am running 3/8" rubber fuel line to both inlets on my holley. I need/want to convert to braided fuel line but I don't know anything about the in's and out's of the fittings and or line. I need some help and guidence for purchasing the line lengths, types, and fittings for my combo. I have a Mallory 3-port regulator mounted on my drivers side fender as well. Let me know some of your opinions and suggestions.

Thank you,

Zach

You'll need to flair your stainless steel line, install an 3/8 to AN6 fitting. Then you'll need some stainless steel line. You'll probably want to buy a dual feed line for your carb. It'd be cheaper than building one out of AN fittings. Do you need a return line? What type of fuel pump do you have?

i use 2 ports off my 4309 regulator to go to each individual carb line. -6 lines, you need 3/8npt to -6 adapters for the regulator and then some line. I don't like dual feed lines because if you hook them up separate you can make jet changes without disconnecting the fuel lines at all.

So I probably wouldn't need to flare the line. I don't see the need for it. I'll keep my rubber line going to the regulator, maybe. then I'll run two lines like you said to my carb, I'm just confused with all these numbers and letters.

pic of this rubber line? NRHA states no more than 12" total of rubber line in your fuel system.

I might as well replace it. You run an electric pump correct? Do you run the same regulator as me? I have 3/8" and 5/16" return lines. I really need to do this right then. Could you go in detail on what connection would go where for my fuel system up to where my hard lines come into the engine bay? I would really appreciate it, you have no idea.

that's why I was asking for a pic to see how you have it set up right now. I'm guessing stock tpi pump in the tank? Post up a pic and I'll give you a hand on it.

Re: Lets talk braided fuel line & AN fittings.

line size goes by 16. -4 is 1/4" -6 is 3/8" -8 is 1/2" -10 is 5/8" -12 is 3/4" -16 is 1" (rarely used) -20 is 1 1/4" (normally radiator top hose on hipo radiator) are you planning on installing a sump in the stock tank or using a cell? either way you will need conversion fittings. here is an aerquip summit kit you may like, not sure you can find most of the fittings cheaper on Ebay most of the time though.
