Re: open element air cleaner question

goto your local checker or orielys and grab what ever spectre, holley or edel brock 14" they have on hand, they should fit fine, upgrade to a good filter and your set

it should fit but will it have enough clearance for the edelbrock TBI/carb STB?

You're asking questions about things not normally done. If you've already got the STB, do some measuring for yourself.

Sorry, but sometimes you just need to do the footwork yourself.

Probably fit the STB (but will the hood close?). Check the following pic of the Edelbrock and a 14 x 3 with a 1/2" drop (more pics in my Car Details):

Re: open element air cleaner question

my friends 89 rs has the edelbrock STB and open element cleaner and it all fitted fine with stock hood.

Also for the think in the valve cover to the aircleaner, just get a valve cover breather and stick it in there.
