How do I clean/service my q-jet
OK first of all I searched and didn't find anything I was looking for, and second of all the sticky isn't coming up at all (just a bunch of little boxes with x's in them). So, I'm just looking for someone to point me in the right direction, not a step-by-step or anything.
Any info is appreciated, thanks!

CCC, or manual?
The carburetor rebuild kit will have instructions that include most of what you need. The Haynes shop manual on Rochester Carburetors, or the Doug Roe book of similar name (both available on amazon.com) will have a little more information.
Hmmm, the sticky does seem to have some problems. I'll have it looked into.

The images in the sticky were hosted by a private account that is no longer being maintained. Aperion is working on getting them back.
Sorry for the inconvenience (they were/are a great source of information).

Re: How do I clean/service my q-jet
OK, so how do I know if my carb needs serviced, and is there an easy way to do some basic cleaning? Can I just spray some carburetor cleaner in it? Will this help clean out debris, etc?
This is my first carbureted car, and it's not running yet, so I'm just looking for some pointers
Thanks!

The images are back in the sticky.
Usually you know by the way it runs. If it isn't running, spraying carb cleaner in/on it won't hurt.

If you're going to soak it in carb cleaner, take it apart first. . .
