cold startup

is there any way to make my engine more friendly in cold situations? right now it needs a solid 5 mins of warming before itll idle without dying, and thats with the idle set a tad too high.

Re: cold startup

you have a '70GTO with a nortstar engine?? Now that's sacrilege!

If it's the stock q-jet, verify the choke is working right. If so, check the 3 choke settings.
Now that it's coming into fall again, I think we're going to be hit with the standard plethora of choke tuning questions... I'll have to dig up my one post where I explained them all with pictures...

street avenger 770. K&N Filter, mildish cam .480 lift, not sure on duration, headers, new heads: 210cc runners 64cc chambers, performer RPM intake.

and the GTO, it was that or the caddy 500, and i wanted to drive it all over.
