I Need A Cleaner Fuel System Setup
My car was TPI and now Carb. I have the regulator coming off the stock hard lines near the front of the engine bay. It works but I just don't like the way it looks. Ive seen many pics where the Regulator is attached to the firewall with braided lines and all. I'm thinking I need to cut the hard lines back near the brake booster and then re bend them to where I want them to clean it up a bit. Anyone got any ideas on how I can clean this up? Pictures would be helpful as well. Thanks!

I think id worry more about your bent tube first ...
This is the way i ran mine, ideally id like to run it on the back side of the engine but all have to do that some other time.

I'm guessing you're talking about my oil dipstick? It's not bent its just a little loose and tends to move a bit without it being secure to the old exhaust manifold. I need to get a flexible one and mount it to the firewall.

One thing though, please do not use teflon tape or sealer on the AN flare side. NPT side needs it but the AN relies on the 37deg, seat to seal the connection and with the low pressures I can not imagine that there is an issue that would require the teflon tape...it never needs it, not even on power steering systems and what not. Tighten the flare nut a little tighter if it leaks

I had that problem too i zip tied mine to the wire loom, i got a spare one i plan on welding a tab on the tube to bolt to the side of the engine
Re: I Need A Cleaner Fuel System Setup
i always wanted to cut my steel lines back where they turn up near the firewall. from there run lines up the firewall to a reg and then like you said have the lines come in from the rear. that is a tight squeeze with the engine in there. maybe when i do my replacement i will do that.

I ran all new fuel line up the passenger side of the car. I also sumped my gas tank and mounted the electric pump outside the tank.
