A friend of mine dove into an aluminum bin at a scrap yard and grabbed a mint Edelbrock 2101 Intake with a Rochester Q-jet on top.. It looks like a factory carb and in fairly decent condition.. Is it worth fixing up for my 350?

I'd be willing to bet that ALL Rochester carbs were built in a 'factory'. Care to narrow it down for us at all?

I meant from factory, like it came on whatever car the intake was attached to.

Yes, but what car was that? There's about half a dozen different Quadrajets, all slightly different.

Does it have an electric choke, hot air choke, or divorced choke?
Are there any electrical connectors on it? How many? where are they? what do they look like?

No electrical connections, looks like a hot air choke, and I have no idea what vehicle it's from.. I'll take a pic of it later.

If it has a hot air choke, I'd pass... unless you want to try to convert it.

I'm considering saving my pennies and getting one of these.. http://www.smicarburetor.com/product...9/productID/32
We put one in our 76 Torino, 7.5 L automatic, and it runs like a champ.
