I have and edlebrock 1406 and it sticks when its closed. but once you pull it off idle it will be fine as long as you always have a little pressure on the throttle. Its almost like the butterfly's are dirty and sticking but they dont look very dirty. What else could cause this?

Re: carb sticking?
Does it stick when the engine is off? Is there any play in the shafts?

Re: carb sticking?
You can replace the shafts and bush the body, but it's a bit of work.
