is anyone here running a procomp intake? i found a procomp aluminum polished vortec intake for $130 and im thinking about jumping on it for my build. are these intakes any good? im looking for opinions on them.

How's the quality?

 

i never heard anything good about procomp heads and intakes. but never saw one in person to see for myself.

 

everything was fine i thought . no fitmit issuies . i got no complaints

Damn that's tall for 4 and a half inches. How's it flow? Torque feel any better?

 

right offf throttle its a dog AGAIN BUT AFTER 1500 IT STARTS TO PULL GOOD . i still need to put the tpi fuel pump in . i'm going t70 turbo next month i'm jus getting my fuel setup this month . i need a better torque converter also . i knew this was gonna happen but this is just one piece to me working my way up to a beast . i still got a posi with 3.23 gears thats gonna help right off throttle also

goes frim idle to 5500, i wish it was 6500 but i cant complain too much because of the price.

 

I had a polished one in my Pontiac 400. No complaints. I did have to modify my valve covers a bit to fit the runners though.

 

do you have vortec heads ?
the one you posted was for vortec heads only
mines getting better i jus needed to tune it different with this intake . it pulls all the way to redline now

 

i did not know procomp made intakes. I knew they did ignition nd heads and internals.
I put a set of their H-beams, 210 heads, and a pro products intake.
I got the rods and heads cuz i couldnt pass the price lol. only problem i had was the distrib seal leaking.
I wasnt hitting power till about 2500 but that was just cuz of the build. but I pulled it once up to 7500 and it was still pullin hard but let off cuz it is only a 2 bolt lol

 

yes I know, I'm running 906 heads.
