750 to 600cfm

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28Bw...ature=youtu.be

just sharing. I had a edel 750 that kept flooding and fouling, the plugs, smoking. I couldn't seem to get to run as good as I wanted so I stepped it down to the holley 600 w/ elect choke and vacc. sec's. I still have to dial it in I think that the fast idle cam on the choke is adjusted just a little too high and I have to connect the choke to a 12v source "the junction block" and then adjust the choke as needed. idles about 1350rpm I think that's b/c of choke which is not bad buti will have to connect the choke properly then adjust. im guessing that base idle should be somewhere around 750-800rpm

if there are any tips or secrets please let me know. thx.

I don't know about "secrets", but...

Highly recommend this for better secondary tuning:

Re: 750 to 600cfm

i dont know about the choke, but the suggested adjustable secondaries from QFT work great. its worth every penny to not have to change springs and mess with re-installing it.

Make sure you wire it to a source that is only on when ignition is on.

Re: 750 to 600cfm

Tied into the wiper motor 12 volt wire is a great place for the choke wire.

Re: 750 to 600cfm

got this bracket http://www.summitracing.com/parts/hly-20-95/overview/ with this carb http://www.summitracing.com/parts/hl...457s/overview/ and now the tv cable wont stretch far enuff to pull out the plastic slider any. as you know this is in order to correctly adjust the tv cable. is there an extension or something that must go with it?

Re: 750 to 600cfm

yes sir I got that part already. and its attached properly.

now the carb seems to be running a little too fast so I know tat I will have to adjust the fast idle cam on the choke. and the car diesels a little. I think that the timing might need to adjusted or maybe the idle air control screws it fires up on the first try if I press pedal and set choke. it runs well (1700rpm) if I taped the gas I git (1200rpm) but it never fully releases the choke unless I move it by hand to get it to drop to (800-875rpm) when I shut the car down no matter the rpm it diesels and then shuts down.

what could it be? ooh yeah the timing was 16btdc and I moved it to 11. it fires up great and runs but it did not help the dieseling problem.
