Wow, smoke screen eh? Not sure what the deal is with that... What kind of choke are you using on that carb (if any?). If its a vacuum operated one check out the pull off valve to make sure its operating fully when vacuum is applied, and that its linkage is well adjusted. (I'm going more on the bog/idle here then the smoke evidence).

Have you changed or even checked the oil since the carb flooded over? If it flooded bad the crankcase is probably full of gasoline. The oils so thin now its going right past the rings and youre burning it. If theres alot of gas it can explode and blow the valve covers off so watch out.

the choke is working fine...........i've had a car that had a messed up choke ..........tons of smoke.. tis not the case .....the carb was flooded soo bad.... fuel was just coming out of the top all over the motor.. i had to floor it .....only making like 100 Rpms ... just to get it into the garage... i think that the oil is problebly thinned..its synthetic too........

thanx guys....

Popping out the exhaust while idling, adjust the mixture.

If you had that much fuel flowin your plugs are now wet. Theres at least one thats causing the popping. Pull them all and dry them out. Use carb cleaner and compressed air or maybe a propane torch to dry them.

Choke will be black smoke. Blue smoke is oil. Does it only smoke for a little while after start up and then quit? If so its valve guides....common problem. If its a continuus blue stream, and get worse under a pull then you have a ring problem. Get the compression tested. Maybe all that gas in the engine hurt something.

Also how long have you run it since the oil change?? The exhaust may be loaded with all the excess oil you were burning. You may just need to take it for a long drive and see if it'll clear up. MAKE SURE YOU STOP AND CHECK THE OIL if it continues to blow smoke. You dont want to run out. I've had some cars smoke for 8 or 10 miles after something like this. If you ever have one blow a gasket and fill the exhaust with antifreeze it creates a hilarious smoke screen for miles.

Its possible that after 1min the exhaust is getting hot enough to start burning off the oil inside. Go for that long drive iff possible and see what happens.
