This is a warning to all thirdgen.org members. TGO has a new scammer named Jeff Porrini. He is from Patchogue, New York. He attends a school in Hawaii He took my money and never sent the parts and never responds to emails or messages. I sent him the money on Feb. 6th. And the last message I recived from him was on the 21st althought he was last online March 5th. Ive sent him many emails and PMs. None threatening or hateful, just asking if he has shipped the parts. Never heard from him again. Mods PLEASE dont take this post down. I am not slandering anyone. I am just warning people NOT to do buisiness with this person. I can forward my PMs and emails if you would like proof. Thanks

no offense but the guy has ZERO posts on this board, definatly would have thrown up a red flag for me.

 

i have been off the boards for almost a year and a half. That truly sucks. How did you pay him? if you paid him using payapl you could make a clam with him.

 

Yeah xpndbl3, it was a bad move on my part. But that still doesnt give him the right to take my money. I payed with a postal money order. I made complaint with the USPS and its in there hands now. Hopefully Ill hear something from them soon.

Exactly. From what the post office sayed, they are cracking down hard on mail fraud. I just hope I can get my money back so I can put it toward another harness for this car Im putting together for someone :S

I dont have too many posts but if you ask around (and I can supply names) I am a very good buyer/seller. I spend most of my time on the classifieds and not the message boards. It sucks you got scammed but dont take it out on every junior member here, most of us are just trying to finish our cars and make them better. ---Rob

This is a little off topic but I too don't have many posts. I usually only look at the classifieds. I don't really need the tech board as I worked as a Chevy technician in the era that these cars where built. I am on classified boards for "something I can't live without" I would def not try to hose anybody and typically go out of my way to to make things right. Believe what you want I moved a fair amount of 67-72 truck parts over the years. I have been beaten out of parts myself and it sucks so I wouldn't intentionaly do it to anybody else. Sorry this got so long but there are still some of us honest people out there however there are some of the other kind also. Hope everything works out.

 

Thanks bowtiedude69, I know there are still honest people out there just trying to make an honest buck by selling there parts on here, I personally am one of them. But the people out there who are just out to take your money and run are makeing it worse for the honest ones. Im not saying Im done with internet purchases, Im just saying Ill be more careful next time.

UPDATE!

I recived the LT1 engine harness today from Jeff Porrini. I dont know what the deal was or if he got tied up or what. He never would contact me throughout the whole mess so I dont know. I still didnt recive the ECM and MAF but Im just glad I got something out of the deal. I guess hes not a totally bad guy, I just wish he would have had better communication. Just figured Id keep everyone posted.
