I've been wondering. My vert has a gray interior, but the carpeting and plastic in my trunk area is black. Is this the way ASC did these cars, or do you think someone changed the stuff in my trunk area at some point?

 

My interior was red. But I also had a black trunk area. I am guessing ASC did it.

 

Well that makes me feel a bit better about it. Anyone else?

 

Mine is Black and Black. I do think some of the later 91 and 92 verts had diffrent colors in the trunk but don't hold me to that...

 

Recently purchased a 91 RS with red interior and it has the black for all trunk area also, I also purchased a 87 Sport Coupe Vert earlier this year and the trunk area is all black in this on also.

I had the same question on the 91 RS Convert I just bought. Gray int black trunk.

thats because all the cars were t-top cars and they removered all the rear trunk panals replaced it with black hardtop panal which were cheaper and made more of also mine was the same but i changed the carpet to the color of the front and made the panals the same color to match looks alot better now its all beechwood the way it should look

 

If your wanting to change the color or update your carpet in the rear cargo area you may want to check out ACC. They make rear cgo area carpet for the Firebird/TA in nearly any color.
