vert to hard top of t-top?

has anyone ever thought of converting a vert to a hard top or t-top? i just like the lines on the top, how it slopes back and with the trunk. if any one has ever seen this or thought about this, post some pics and insight. lets hear some opinions

I think you'd have to be dumb to "undo" a convertable. Why not just get a hard top or T-top car? It would be much easier just to find one of those cars to begin with, as opposed to finding a hard-to-find convertable and then undoing the very thing that makes it rare and desireable.

I'd say if you're 15 and can't afford much of a car, you'd be better off to just get the vert and keep it a vert for now. Now, while I don't agree with converting a vert into a hard-top (sounds like a big cluster-f**k to me), everyone is entitled to their own sense of style.

I hypothesize that this is going to take mucho time and money to pull this off and do it right. If cash is an issue, better look at another option.

There was a thread awhile back that talked about this. Someone wanted to make a fiberglass, removeable hardtop like the corvetts and miata's have.

it could be done using the rear mounting points for the vert top, and the front latches. It would be heavy and cumbersome as well, but it would look unique.

I've always felt that the vert got the best lines. I have also wanted a trunk rather than a hatchback. So I could see myself doing something like this to my vert.

You could always do something like this.

Get yourself a T Top or hardtop car. get a vert decklid only

use the deck lid and make a lexan window for the back.
This was what i planed to do befor but desided not to.
