a must see 1992 convertible on ebay
Re: a must see 1992 convertible on ebay
Sat in the car yesterday and it's very close to being perfect. Car was purchased from the 2nd owner in Florida last year from a Mechum auction. Owner shipped the car to CT and it has been sitting on the showroom floor ever since. Appears to have never been driven in the rain but does have a few minor imperfection in the nose/hood. Could have been from the perfect indoor lighting. The only glaring imperfection is on the pass fender under the mirror above the body side molding. Small door ding with two needle head paint chips on either side of the ding. Body shop should be able to fix quite easily, but for that kind of money it shouldn't even be there. Happened over the winter because they were not there last fall.
If anyone wants more detail on the car just let me know because I'm only 20 minutes away.
I went there hoping to buy the car for $15k but he will not move on the price. So, unfortunately another beautiful Z28 will eventually go to auction and another regular guy will not be able to enjoy it. Reserve is $25,900

I just purchased a '91 maroon Z28 convertible with 84K miles, and it is nice, but it is not nearly as nice as this car is. WOW!

Brisk,
My new '91 has the EXACT same interior! lol I have grown to like it ok, still wish I had the red leather seats tho.
And wish I could find a place to buy some replacement parts, like those red cloth covered speaker grills in the back!

If it had leather I would be interested... For $25K I would buy a Firehawk first though...

My fav. interior on a Camaro is the red cloth. Each to his own, I guess!
Re: a must see 1992 convertible on ebay
I agree, $25k is $10k too much. For $25k one could purchase a 35th SS. I had check in hand but the owner wants $25k and knowing the dealership quite well they will wait years if that's what it takes.

Actually I think $20K would be a fair price with the current trends...
As for the 35th SS, its a little different, I believe they made more of those... No nestalgia yet either...

Yeah, but an LS1 6-speed would be a nice change. Yes, very difficult to compare values of different gen Camaro's. Dealer just called me wondering if I was still interested in financing the remaining $10k.
The 25th would look great parked next to my 30th, just too much $.

Took me awhile to get to this thread...wow she is a beauty! I guess it was a convertable thing but just looks kinda different to me, the hatch area has black plastics and black carpet while the front is all red.
All you red lovers can have my almost mint red cloth seats for next to nothing! I hated it, but if i had this car id most certainly keep it in there.
Only con on that car for me...auto.

Much better, very nice 92 Z28 and also a 5 speed. Red interior only sits well with Black/Red Stripe exterior. Received the following email from the owner:
"thanks for bidding on my 92 z-28 with 14,000miles low production car my reserve is 23800 can finance if needed 2036687797 lenny napoli"
Sorry, but not worth that much too me.

The auction has ended, so I've deleted the eBay link and am closing the thread.
