Re: looking for new spoiler trim
Are you talking about that thin strip of sealant between the spoiler and the rear deck lid?

Wow... I've never hear of anyone needing that. I'm guessing you could improvise that piece pretty easy but I could be wrong.

Good luck,

Re: looking for new spoiler trim
HI I do not think anyone makes this piece. A few yrs ago I needed it for my 92 RS convert, could not get one - mine was in good shape but shrunk about 3" in length as soon as it was removed and could not be stretched back to full size - a body shop guy I know found me a similar runner piece froma a Jag XJS. My current 92 Z28 convert is missing this piece - I just put a thin film of silicone along the underage of the spoiler center piece to provide some cushion - does not look like the original piece since there is nothing there, but works fine.

Re: looking for new spoiler trim
I thought it was just double sided tape... The stuff they use for body accessories.

Re: looking for new spoiler trim
The piece that goes under the front leading edge on the horizontal surface of the trunk lid is rubber - in reality it is apparently made from unobtainium.

The piece on the underside of the spoiler at bottom, above taillight/license plate area, on mine does appear to be similar to trim mounting tape but i could not guarantee that is what it is.

Re: looking for new spoiler trim
Yep, been down the path of looking for one....no luck. Mine had been painted when the car was repainted by a previous owner. I ended up removing it and painting it flat black and reinstalling it. Looks good.

Great suggestion on seeing if Bruce at Hawks 3rd Gens can help you out. I was just there this week and he must have 20 convertibles on his lot.

Happy Hunting!

Re: looking for new spoiler trim
I have found some bulk rubber material that worked great for me. I cut a piece 54" long and I attached it to the underside of the spoiler with spray adhesive. A great alternative to nothing. Mine was lost during a repaint and I didn't realize it for a year. Couldn't figure out why the rear spoiler would rock front to back and realized that the gasket was a spacer also.
