Ebay vert - spoiler extensions
Beauty car on Ebay. I've not seen these side spoiler extensions on the doors before. Are these rare, or have I just not noticed?

Re: Ebay vert - spoiler extensions
I thought I had an earlier 88 since I have the rod system for the rear top release. Heard those were on the earlier 88's. Pain to find the replacement parts. I had not seen/noticed those extensions before. Go figure. Thanks Jeff.
Re: Ebay vert - spoiler extensions
I've got the rod system also and on the drivers door my car has june 1988. So it must have been just the begining of 88 for the door extentions. But I have seen a 88 with the door extentions. Looks good

That's a nice car, but I hate that black top with that tan interior. Would look so much better if interior and top matched. Those spoiler extensions are sweet. I wish they would have continued them. They "complete" the spoiler.

Re: Ebay vert - spoiler extensions
My IROC was assembled in February of 1988 and has the extension pieces on the doors. They look OK, but I would bet they got dropped because they were easily broken off. The dealer had to replace the one on the driver's side door of my car just a few months after I purchased it. The one on the passenger side door is loose now.
The eBay car looks great. I'm not sure what an "Australian heavy duty rearend" is though.

Would that vert have come with a 3.27 then? I didn't know they put any of those 9-bolts in verts. Schweeeet!

Anyone care to define . . . "THE ONLY CHANGES FROM STOCK ARE A FREE FLOWING IROC EXHAUST . . ."?
Is this some sort of new way of saying it has a non-stock dual cat system perhaps?
PS; I thought the '88 5spds had the round shift ****?

Re: Ebay vert - spoiler extensions
Well I've had two T10 martinis at Bone Fish but I'll post anyway.
My 88 does not have the extensions but has the bar system.
While the extensions look good, I prefer the look without them - so small they appear an after thought or a stretch.
I can't really tell what the shift **** is but mine is a leather sphere.
What's the decal on the air intake?
The tan wheels match the interior and as for the top - better black than tan.
All being said - the ride is DROP DEAD GORGEOUS!
Seems like a great deal to me.
