A-Pillar Gauge Pod

I know they make a verion for hard/t-tops, is there a version for the vert? Or do you just use one of the t-top version?

Thanks

I already did this a long time ago. Many others have too I believe.

You just buy the part for the ttop cars, and cut off the end of it so that it will fit the convertible pillar. A good thing about doing this is that it looks much more factory than one of the pods that you drill onto an existing pillar cover.

The pictures may not be the best, but you can see how it looks like it came that way from the factory.

Re: A-Pillar Gauge Pod

Sorry those pictures are blocked, but does a triple gauge pillar work or does just the dual gauge one work?

Re: A-Pillar Gauge Pod

The pictures work for me, even on my phone. Did you try refreshing the page?

And I've never seen a triple pod on a vert. Considering the bottom guage on my pod touches the dash pad, I wonder how well a triple pod would fit.

I'm at work, it's blocked......

I seem to recall seeing a triple pod on a vert before? Has one been done before?

Re: A-Pillar Gauge Pod

they worked fine for me too. I think the bottom sits the same on the triple guage pods. It didn't look too good though just because it took up the whole a pillar. The dual pod is all I would do.

I wonder why your dash sits high? Does it have aftermarket speakers underneath? I suppose you could just trim off some of the underside of the pod to make it work. I didn't want the add-on style because it doesn't look factory.

See, I tend to think the pre-'90 style wheel is the ugliest thing ever.

Re: A-Pillar Gauge Pod

Reviving another old thread, I know, but I'm a big proponent of the method. Anyway, this looks great! I see the bottom is close to dashpad, does it press the pad as much as the triples do? I had a triple in my last Iroc and hated how it compressed against the dash pad, even after I trimmed the top of the pillar pod some to slide it up. Only need a dual pod this time though so hoping fitment is a little better, or are they the same and Autometer just adds a third to the top of the row for their triple?
