Re: cheap weatherstriping

just a little side note - the soffseal kit does not appear to include door seals, sweeps, or the triangle seals. we've got a kit with everything in it together, but i'm working on getting you guys a price for a comparable top-only kit to match the contents of the SS one noted here.

Re: cheap weatherstriping

What does the SoffSeal kit include... I am interested in a kit that includes all of the convertible specific parts... I have brand spankin new (really pricy too) GM window sweeps, The Door seal I got from SS was actually long ( i installed it on my 87 Formula, about 1 inch in the front part of the door, so i a little leary about SS...) i would be interested in a review of how well they fit. I have not heard great things about the Metro stuff either, but that was 3rd hand, and someone did say they had good luck with it...

At any rate, I need the window seals around the door windows, the rear seal around the tonneau, the rear top seal, and the rear trunk seal, as well as the windshield header... The Door seal would be a nice perk, but the rubber triangle??? really not sure if I need that or not...

Re: cheap weatherstriping

The soft seal comes with the header seal the window seals and the rear top seal and that is it they don't make the tonneau seal yet you are the first that I have heard of that has had problems with softseal pieces I have used many seals from them along with my family and friends and have never had an issue I seen the tonneau seal on eBay for like 50 or 60 but have not ordered one yet

Re: cheap weatherstriping

The SS stuff was not bad mind you, just 1" or 1/2" long in the front of both doors... So I had to finagle it to get it a bit... I have had SS before on other cars and it is usually ok, not as good as OE, but by all means passable as a decent product...

I want to think the rear trunk seal is the same as the rear hatch seal on the hardtop cars, Just shorter... I have not even looked at the rear tonneau seal to see if they were smart enough to do the same there...

I am rather confused about the ad. It states that it comes with the windshield, and the horizontal and vertcal and rear bow... So that to me would be 6 pieces. I went to Soffseals website and it does not show the rear bow seal.

Does it come with the rear bow seal or not?

thanks.

Re: cheap weatherstriping

I checked 1A... as I have done business with them before, and no luck, I could not find it... I found a hard top window seal that included the door, but that was it...

I was hoping to get a complete kit...

Oh well

Re: cheap weatherstriping

An update...
I just received my order, and yes indeed the kit includes 6 pieces.
1) Windshield seal
2) Pair of rear door window seals
3) Pair of upper door window seals
4) Rear bow seal (which I did not have at all...

So it does the entire top...

:

Looking at the pic, it shows it, but it is mixed up with the windshield header...
