well basically you need to find the ground wire for the relay and basically splice into it and go into a switch, and then the other side of the switch will connect to a body ground..
i just used a standard toggle switch, and the rest is all factory wiring, fuses, and relays..

Hey MdFormula will the fans still work their normal way when you have the switched turned off? or is that way for just turning the fans on and off when you feel like?

Just to give you another option, I thought about the toggle switch thing too, but then I found the Jet fan switch that will turn on the fan at 200 & off at 185. So for $45 and as tough as changing a one spark plug I don't have to hassle mounting a switch or remembering to turn it on or off. I put in a 180 stat at the same time and it's been cool for two years now.

I went with a programmable temp gauge with controller.
I can program what temp to turn on and off the fans.
It's the digital gauge in my triple pod.

This is what it looks like when it's off.

Zepher,

Details on that thing of yours please! How much, where from, how does it wire in, how do you adjust it etc?

Thanks

Robert

It's made by CSI and I ordered it from Jegs for $79.99 last year.
You program it by holding the button down on the face, and then pressing it to the desired temps. It comes with a relay that you can wire to your stock fan relays, or just wire the controller straight to your stock fan relays.
I don't remember if it used the stock temp sender or not. I hooked up so long ago.

Thanks Zepher. Does this mean that both fans work at the same time?

Depends on how you decide to wire it up.
Since the controller only sends one signal, you can wire it up to the primary fan and the secondary fan will still be controlled by the fan switch in the pass side head and the A/C pressure switch.
Or you can wire it up to turn them both on with only the controller.
I would keep it so that the the secondary fan stays wired to the a/c pressure switch so that it comes on right away when you turn the a/c on.

You have 3 ways to wire it up.
1. CSI controls both fans exclusively
2. CSI controls Primary fan exclusively
3. CSI controls both fans and the Secondary fan is wired in parallel with the A/C switch so it turns on with the a/c.
