trans cooler lines
I put a 7004r in my original T-5 car and i was wondering can i use barbed fittings with some 1/2 fuel line or something as my cooler lines running to the radiator. Car will be in storage this winter so it wont be driven much with this setup because next summer i will be replacing everything under the hood with braided lines. Just wondering how it will hold up temporarily. thanks for any help

Does your radiator even have fittings for a tranny cooler, or have you swapped in a radiator for an automatic car? If your car is an original manual car the radiator wont have anything for you to hook to.
If somehow it happens to have a transmission cooler in the radiator, I would just go to the parts store and get the original lines, they shouldnt be that expencive.

its got the cooler in the radiator, i put a new one in last summer with intentions of putting an auto in. I know the lines wont be expensive but i already have these fittings and fuel line layin around so i was just wondering if that would work for now. Does anyone know how much pressure is built in those lines?

I don't know man. I've seen automatics get up to 250+ degrees that's pretty hot.
that stuff is low pressure line for carbed engines.. i wouldn't trust that past 20 psi consistantly at those high of temps. fuel injection hose probably wouldn't be a good choice either, especialy being it runs closer to $4 a foot

go buy some 5/16" brake line.
i believe that is what we've used on past cars with 700R4. I believe we bought the 60" lines, so buy two of them, shouldn't cost more than $10 for two.
They are also already double flared at both ends so no work for you but bend and screw in.

Hey there is a company out there that makes pre bent trany lines. Its called Fine Lines. I got a set for my Iroc and they are perfect. Fit right in the stock location. The go for like 70 bucks. If you ask me its worth it cause they slide right in and sit out of the way. I guess you are paying for hassle free.
Just my $.02 worth

i just ended up going to the parts store and using hard brake line, the reason i asked about the fuel line is because i just needed to get it to where i was storing it and i already had that stuff laying around so i figured if i could use it why not. thanks for everyones help
