Short WP or Long WP?

Short WP or Long WP?
Right now i have a 305 LG4 which gave out finally and i will be swapping all the existing pulleys, alternator, etc, over to my 350 block and wanted to know if i needed a short or long water pump to replace the existing one. (i mine as well buy a better one since im taking it out and swapping it over). Im going to keep the v-belt design untill i save a little more money down the road for serpertine setup. So basically do i need short or long to keep my stock setup?

You need a long, standard rotation pump for V belt, long reverse rotation, I believe, for serpentine.

I can vouch for the long reverse rotation for serpentine. I had a short aluminum TRW, and bought the spacers to make it a long style,, but then the outlet was slightly wrong, so I went back to a stock style. I was not happy.
