PROB A STUPID QUESTION BUT WHAT THE HELL

i wanna upgrade the Engine Temperature Gauge on my 1983 Pontiac Trans Am as i know the factory fitted ones are crap. Now i live in the UK (United Kingdom) where in our cars the Temperature Guages are in (oC) not (F) does the Pontiac have a (F) type Temperature Guage or a (oC) Guage? as i wanna put in a digital type but they dont got to 260

I KNOW A DID SAY IT STUPID

Temperature gauges were in Farenheit on Pontiac cars built for sale in the Benighted States of America, where measurement in Firkins, Furlongs and Farenheit is still considered a good idea.

Cars built for export to the civilized regions of the world had metric gauges.

This car was imported about 10years ago from the US the previous UK owner decided to glue anything that was broke so ive spent about £2000 buying the bits. I thought while am at it upgrade the temperature guage as these arnt the most reliable in the world but i thought like an idiot that it was a 260 oC temperature guage and can't get on thats digital as they dont go that high now i feel like an dump @ss

so will putting a digital temperature guage from (F) to (oC) easy? just wiring from the temperature sensor on the thermostat housing?

Do you mean an aftermarket digital gauge, or a stock one?

Aftermarket gauges usually need their own sender, which you can install in a number of locations on the engine. Most gauges have one wire for +12v, one for ground, and one for the sender, and a couple for the backlight.

That's up to you, really. You could replace them all if you wanted.
