AFTERMARKET DUAL FAN QUESTION

Im looking at putting a dual aftermarket fan on my 91-Z and was just currious if I wire it up the same way with the factory connectors, when the ECM tells the fan to turn on will both of them run, I would prefere it did. That way I would not have to turn on the A/C to make the secondary fan come on. Has anyone installed a dual fan set up to run this way, and what would happen if it is wired this way and you cut the A/C on and maybe it dosent send a signal to the ECM to let it know its on. Will that mess anything up. Thanks for your help.

OK here it goes:
I had the original single fan on my 92 RS L03, when I thought it could not handle more air installed a '9x somehing dodge spirit fan 'cause it's a two speed fan and installed it in the highest one. Then after a few months realized that the problem was other than the fan so I replaced the radiator and put a dual fan setup from a 98 chevy malibu, plugged it in parallel circuit to the original connector for the original single fan, no relays, no fuses and running as new so far... the system work as original and this setup blows like hell!!!

Hey thanks for the info, but Im looking at some aftermarket unit like a flex-alite deal that dosent have the stock hook up. By the way how much difference did the set up you have make.

An aftermarket is a good option though...

What kind of difference, money or efficiency???
Talking about money I spent like 100 bucks, dual fan setup, cleaning, new brushes for the fan motors and installation (by myself)
About the efficiency, EXCELLENT!!! never got hot again!!! (I mean the engine )

I was more currious about the hook up of the electrical/ECM operation. The secondary question was how much cooler did you get it to run. I just wanting to find out about how it interacts with the A/C unit, does it still turn on the fan when you turn on the A/C or does it just bypass it because both of them come on at the same time anyway. Thanks for any answers you can give me.

If you connect to your existing wiring (dual fans) it should work fine.

It should work the same if you connect the two fans as they were originally because the current to turn them on comes from the relay, where the circuit that closes it are two: one is turned on with the CFS when the water inside the engine gets around 238° and the other with the A/C PS when the pressure is higher than 232psi. Also the ECM can send a signal to close the relay, What is your 8th VIN digit?? if you tell me that I can give you the exact diagram for your car an tell you how to hook up the new one.
