Is this an OEM Dual Fan connector?
I took the general FAQ tour and could not locate and pictures to confirm what I have here. Please look at the attached photo of a connector that I believe is for the second fan. My RS currently has the single stock fan. It was converted from TBI to TPI before I got it and I found this connector by the battery with a 30amp fuse jumping it. I attempted to track both this connector's wires and the stock fan connector's wire back to a relay as noted in the diagrams, I found one matching the number in the general post diagram but it's over by the brake booster (see photo). Do single fan setups even use relays or is the one I found for something else? Please check this out and let me know, car is running quite hot and I want to complete the swap. Thanks for your help.

The plug with the fuse in it is exactly what it is - a plug fuse holder with a fuse. It powers the fans and fuel pump.
The relays for the fans are on the firewall, exactly the ones you show in the second picture. TPI uses two relays for two fans, TBI uses one relay for one fan.
You can take a look at the engine wiring schematics for the appropriate year and engine on our ATGO wiring diagram page. The fan motors and relays are usually in the lower right corner of the schematic.
Hope this helps.

Lou. According to your site link that 30amp fuse should be a 20. This looks like I'll need some help and will have to open the main harness to run new wire back and forth to a new relay. If you know, can the circuit that feeds the single fan now push both fans in a dual setup? Also, where can I get another fan motor connector? Senior Member

Your pic shows 4 relays and an ESC. What year is your car? The bracket for your relays is the type used on 91-92 cars. If this is true you have all the relays in place. Was the swap done with a factory harness or a homemade one? If it is a factory 90-92 harness the fan connecter should be there somewhere. The ESC is not used on 90-92 TPI.

It started out as a 92 Camaro RS. I bought it post convertion to TPI and didn't know it at the time I bought the car. Still not sure the convertion was done on the stock TBI harness or if a TPI harness was swapped in. I suspect the TBI was converted. OK here's what I've been able to figure out. The TPI setup has the 9th injector which makes the convertion an 87-88 and further confirmed by the presence of the MAF. So the ESC is required. The ECM is a 165 series. Now with this information, would you still believe I'd find an extra fan connector?

88 cars came with dual fans, but I don't know about 86-87. I know some of the earlier TPI setups didn't have dual fans. If an early harness was used you may not have the other connecter.

My 87 with TPI has dual fans. You can buy new connectors from tpiparts.net. I just bought a pair to fix my worn out ( ie broken off retainer clip) connectors. Good Luck
