I got the same prob. One of my fan motors is on its way out. If you have the single fan you might want to consider replacing it b4 you get stuck in traffic.

That`s good advice. Replace your fan before it quits working and you over- heat. If your temps are hotter than you want, now would be a good time to add a 4th gen dual fan shroud and fans. You can use stock or after market fans.

Re: Loud fan problem. Any suggestions?

xCHAoSx, the dual fan conversion is easy and not too expensive. Spal has a shroud with dual 11" fans that work well and it`s an easy install. Check jaycorptech.com for price. If you want to stay with GM parts, I used the Lt1 dual fan shroud and it took a lot of fabrication to make it fit flush to the radiator core. I think the LS1 shroud would be a better fit. The LT1 and LS1 stock fans work very well too. I used 2 Perma Cool 19008 fans with the LT1 shroud. A lot of people on this site have used them and don`t like them but they were used without the shroud. The shroud is the key to making them work well. My temps stay at or below 200 in traffic when it`s 90+ outside.

Re: Loud fan problem. Any suggestions?

I've got the SPAL setup with the dual 11" fans. They work wonderfully in the Las Vegas heat!
