my 86 has leaked coolant in a lot of weird places..
..But this time, with an accompanying choke light (and apparently non-working choke), coolant is spilling onto my foot from (I think) the vent on the center console. It was quite a shock, seeing as how I was wearing sandals at the time. I still seem to be running at normal temps, but am having trouble warming up.. (Choke) I did some forum digging already.. Anybody care to shed some light on the situation?

lol simple/quick answer but not sutch a simple/quick job, but yeah its deff the heater core.
If its not required you can just remove the 2 hoses off the firewall and use a small piece of pipe to conect them togeather, bypassing the heater for a quick fix.

The two hoses are different sizes, one's 3/4" and one's 5/8". Your local parts store should have an adapter to take care of that, specifically made for bypassing dead heatercores.

ah lol thanks, I didn't know that.
I removed my heater/fan box altogeather coz it never worked. but if its a every day car and you havent removed the heater core b4 its a "fun" job (that can take awhile) it may be better to do a temp fix and leave the main job for a weekend.

Just from eyeballin it, I doesn't look that bad..
Though, considering this issue arose around the same time as my choke light, could they be connected? I've got a basic understanding of what's going on in the system, and have already tested the alternator and battery, which came up fine. Additionally, the lead to the choke came out with 12v..
Either way, I'm off to rip the heater core out of my car's cousin. Woohoo.
